I bought these for my 21 month old to start jigsaw puzzles. These are actually his first puzzles and so far he's been pretty good with animals. Setting it up will of course take some time, but I can still teach him how animals make noises or ask him where they are etc. so that's really helpful. I like that it has handles. Pretty strong and the thickness is almost correct. The edges are rounded so that they are all child-friendly. Unlike some of the larger ones that come in 13x13, these fit the Target Cube shelf which is slightly smaller than 11x11. Overall very happy with the purchase!
