USB 3.1 makes it easy to use and fast. Although I find it a bit flimsy, the plastic is cheap. For the price, however, this is a good buy. I used a 2.5" SSD and only used it with a USB to SATA adapter and I found it to be better for the price than leaving the HDD unprotected. You don't need any tools to take it apart. Easy to put on and take off. However, I put mine in my backpack and if I don't secure it in place the lid sometimes pops out. Of course I use my backpack to store lots of cables and laptop gear and I ride my motorbike so I can't bother with that. The reason I'm deducting a star is because I feel like it could be a bit smaller and have a bit better plastic. You get what you pay for, however, and a Quick and Easy USB 3.1 External Enclosure is a good deal.
