The fan is made of lightweight, thin plastic. The fan doesn't deliver any appreciable airflow for cooling, even when sitting next to the fan. The fan is now a little over 30 days old and has started to fail as if it has been in commercial use day and night for years. I went to the fan and flipped the slide switch to the "HI" position and absolutely nothing happened. I checked the circuit breaker in the outlet and the fuse in the fan connector. Everything was in order! I used a thin pencil and pressed the fan blade. The fan blades tried to move but stopped. I've tried this over and over again. Finally, after several attempts to revive the fan, the blades made a small effort to start. I gave the fan blades more "help" and to my great surprise, the fan blade started spinning. Slowly at first, but after a minute or two the fan blades came on at full speed. My excitement was short-lived because even though the fan blades were spinning at full speed, the air being driven by the fan could only be felt when standing/sitting directly next to the fan. A complete waste of money.
