It does not work! Don't waste your money
This item does not work. My MDX requires a special chip key and that is this key. Proper chipped keys are $45 at the hardware store, so I thought I might save some money by going that route. NO. After cutting off the key, it is inserted into the ignition and turns, but the engine does not start. The engine turns well with my original key (just got this one so I have a spare). A complete waste of money. Completely unsatisfied.
