I am very satisfied with this product. I originally bought a red Gerstyler from a kiosk in the mall. He had a white ceramic plate that was pretty but sometimes had his hair pulled. Had this for at least 4+ years and finally gave up. I decided to look for one online and found this one. Purple has a silky smooth plate over ceramic and glides through your hair without tugging or tugging. Warms up in seconds. I have thick black hair, straightens out in under 10 minutes and lasts 2-3 days. I highly recommend this product.
