With any vegan protein you have to make a compromise between carbs and taste. This powder is somewhat low in carbs, which means it is low in flavor as well. A serving of the powder contains 10 grams of carbohydrates versus 18 grams of protein. The taste suffers. It has a huge list of useful and unique ingredients. The amount of protein is great. The essential amino acids mean I have to LOVE LOVE LOVE it. While it avoids the chalkiness of many vegan protein powders, it's less tasty and hard to drink a full serving when just mixed with regular soy, rice, or oat milk (I've tried all three). I can enjoy it just by adding a banana or some strawberries or using flavored soy milk, all of which add lots of carbs. This will thicken the food, but it may be a bit lumpy. Of course, you need a mixer or a drink mixer for this – you can’t mix it properly by hand or in a shaker.
