It's amazing what happens when you have the right tools. I used a cheap 64mm aluminum key for a while to open and remove the case, but it had a habit of sticking to the case and I had to find a way to get it off each time. Once I had a moment where the case fell apart with an aluminum key. I had no problems with that. He removed the filter housing and saved me a good 20 minutes of trouble. It's stronger and I find it doesn't wear down the plastic case like my old wrench did. Worth a little money for a quality tool. Definitely recommend. I use it on a 2012 SR5 4Runner.
