Installed under kitchen sink for eight years, filtered water well and would get 5 stars until it started leaking. Last week there was a water leak at the top of the case where water appears to have entered through a screw hole, although the device was not removed during installation. Water flows out at about 1/4 cup per hour even with the screw in place. View the photos and videos showing the water leak and the large amount of water that has accumulated in the tank where the device is located. Up to this point the filter has been working fine but this is an annoying problem which has resulted in some damage detailed below. I originally installed this unit after having a similarly designed "blue" filter from another manufacturer that also loses water when sprayed with water. None of the filters had problems with hoses or pressure relief valves; whatever was dry. Only the plastic cases leaked water from a very small defect or invisible crack. I've looked inside and out of the Dupont case and haven't found anything obvious. So after two manufacturers of plastic body water filters failed, I decided to try a third manufacturer with a stainless steel model. We'll see how durable this construction is as the case appears to be cast rather than machined.
