Anyone who has biked more than two miles in winter knows that heat management is an important consideration. I have tried a lot of solutions across the years and the only thing that comes close to these is a rolled bandanna (but even that traps sweat).With a vented helmet these headbands allow enough heat to blow off the top of your head but your ears stay warm without collecting sweat anywhere else on your head. I've found them effective even in windy 10 degree conditions and a few miles into a 40 degree ride they are honestly a little too warm. I gave the second one to a friend and after I lost the remaining one I bought a second pair.My only complaint is that they come double wrapped in plastic, which is overkill for something that ships in an envelope anyway.
