They need to be handled properly

I love Copper Coated Scotch Brite Sponges and have ordered more because I have a cast iron skillet that is not seasoned properly and I am going to clean it with these sponges and start over. Scotch-Brite towels only work poorly if you leave them alone. damp after use. After all, they are made of metal. I have a hook to hang mine on after use. I wash it thoroughly, shake it well (or wrap it in a kitchen towel and wring it out) and then hang it on a hook to allow air to circulate around it. It will last a long time, will not rust or rust.
