I am very happy with this cage. The first thing you'll notice is that it's heavy and STRONG. I thought it would be flimsy for the money, but it's made of durable metal wherever it's needed. Your gear is secure and gives you flexibility as you can attach a tripod quick release plate to the underside, meaning you can mount it on the tripod of your choice and then quickly remove it for an unexpected shooting opportunity or for maintenance and etc. Given The multiple holes allow you to use adapters to mount anything from a small LCD monitor, flash and sound recorder - all on the same mount as your camera! All this functionality and flexibility gives modest filmmakers more creative options, since their equipment is installed so neatly and securely that they have one less thing to worry about. In fact, I'm buying two more.
