These are the best ice cube trays. We tried other lightweight plastic shells that broke after a dozen uses. They either came loose or pieces started peeling from the edges. They're better than the old fashioned Metal too, but I'm coming from memory. My ice machine stopped working, so I have to make ice cream. I've tried flexible square rubber trays. They were better than others, but they still froze fingers and took out the dice. You can leave them for a minute or two or spill water on them, but now you're wasting more time wiping after them. These bowls are easy to fill, easy to put on a shelf, stack perfectly, and (if possible) freeze faster. When you need ice, pull out the tray, rotate it slightly, and each ice cube will fall out in 2-3 seconds. Fill it up and put it back in and you're done. I will never use anything else.
