Review on Hair Curling Wands: Tourmaline Ceramic Instant Heat Curler for Quick and Lasting Wavy Hair by Tricia Rae

Of course I only used this curling iron once. But first, let me say that I'm not a girl who does a lot with her hair. I'm 31 and have straight, thin hair (but I still have LOTS of hair for better or for worse. Depending on how you want to look at it haha). A few weeks ago I clipped about five inches into a brow style haircut about an inch below my chin. My sister kept telling me how cute I look with curls in my hair. So I started testing curls with a flat iron and a curling iron. There is no such happiness. I had wrinkles all over my head over my curls and it was frustrating me. Then my hairdresser recommended Beachwaver to me. However, the price and the less than mediocre reviews put me off. Well, I've seen this little beauty in other recommended curling irons on Revain. I saw more positive reviews and decided to give it a try. It took me about 20 minutes the first time, but then again I have no experience curling my own hair so I understand it will take me a while to get used to it. I've provided a picture of my first attempt below. Note that I brushed out the curls after they cooled because they were SUPER firm and bouncy. But I'm proud of myself! However, while browsing this site I found out again recently that we ladies with shorter hair can actually just attach a curling iron parallel to the head without parting the hair and starting curling. I'll try that next time because on my first try I cut out the pieces which made it take a lot longer. The only thing I used on my head before curling was a little texturizing spray. I guess next time I'll use my tousled hair mousse as the curls have flattened out a bit after a few hours (of course I live in Texas so I'm not spared our humidity in the slightest. At least not with my hair). I recommend this product and look forward to curly hair in the future!
