Review on Cerprise PLA Matte Filament 1 by Tropingzz Cece

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Prints well and is a great color choice for army green military prints.

Arrived well packaged! Sealed vacuum seal so you know you're getting a fresh spool. The filament has been neatly wound, so you can expect a tangle-free print. It prints well out of the box and gets better with an adjustment or two. The temperature tower and pull test shows that this filament likes to print at temperatures around 205/210°C at the hot end and 60/65°C at the bed. With a travel of 4 to 5mm on my Ender 3v2 with machined glass base. I chose a 205c hot end and a 60c bed (first layer 210/65c) with 4.50mm retraction distance and 25mm retraction speed with very good results. I also reduced the Z-height by 0.02mm as this yarn likes a bit more softness for good adhesion to the build surface. Prints smoothly with no clogs and virtually no tension. Has enough shank to stay in place on longer/larger prints but releases easily when the bed cools. The color is a nice olive gray (matt) and goes well with army green military prints. About 10 feet randomly tested for size and everything was within spec. Printed a 1950's rocket in vase mode with no issues and with good layering along with some of my other standard test prints which pretty much always came out. All printed in .28 gauge with a .4 nozzle. Overall I'm impressed with this thread and the value for money. I look forward to trying some of their other colors as I will definitely be buying more in the future.

Pros
  • No Tangle: Perfectly wound PLA filament, 100% tangle free when closed, will not twist or pucker. Vacuum packed to effectively protect the yarn from moisture.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
