I used this to cut my own 1/8 inch quilling paper. So far it's working like a charm. I simply cut 8.5" x 11" paper or cardstock in half on the 8.5" side. The opening width is about 4.5". Once I start cutting the paper or cardstock, I remove the top and finish the cut so the paper stays flat and doesn't bend due to the short receptacle. It has left a slightly rough edge on some paper but once you cut it you don't notice it unless you look very closely or through a magnifying glass. Using this saves me a ton of money and I can cut paper/card from my stash. Very happy with my purchase.
