I looked through several different miniature packages for the 5e D&D before purchasing this one. I chose it because it seemed like a decent set of characters without being an army, and for forty bucks I agree with them. I'm taking off a star for some of them that are very tilted and I'm not sure about the scaling. But overall I get along well with them. The plastic feels a little soft/gummy, but the bottoms are flat throughout and even the slopes stand up on their own. To illustrate, my two painted minifigures are from the Wizkids Townies set which includes blacksmiths, shop stalls, bandits and guards and my two painted minifigures are from Hero Forge with a slight height difference. The thumbnails in question have very fuzzy detail and are not sanded where the plastic edges have been cut away from the molds. I won't draw any of this; I don't think they take primer and paint well. The goblins in this set are definitely small, and the rest of the miniatures are either pretty close to stock size or slightly taller and bigger. They all fit on a 1 inch square grid. Slight gummy smell but I expect it will go away after a lot of handling.
