Brand new, straight out of the box, and that's what pops out, it's an air release valve!
It's such a shame that a brand new product breaks right out of the box, but are there any options? Send it back for a replacement (which means it won't be here in time to use it for the reason it was bought, or try to find a way to fix it so that it can be used which will void any return is also not possible I'm not saying don't buy it just buy it LOTS before you need it so you can return it.
