I LOVE this thermometer. It's fast, accurate, easy to use, easy to read, waterproof, backlit, and the probe simply folds into the handle to turn off and store. Before we got this thermometer, we relied on these little battery operated thermometers that are available at Home Depot, Lowes, and the grocery store. They were difficult to use, hard to read, didn't turn off by themselves, storage cases always got lost, and we killed them many times when they got wet while cleaning (we killed 3+). This thermometer is really fast and has a button to hold the temperature reading. You can climb into the oven and take measurements without waiting several minutes for the display to stop. The collapsible probe is comfortable to hold in your hand, making it unlikely to accidentally fall into the test liquid. This thermometer is fantastic value!
