Cheap and great when it works but breaks too often

I'm trying to be honest in this review as this is a very cheap pump. While excellent value for casual and hobbyist use, this pump is a money pit if you're trying to make it a part of anything remotely serious. I need pumps for a project that requires continuous operation. In my case, this is the main disadvantage, the pumps are not suitable for continuous operation. And I don't mean months, pumps can't even last a few days without breaking. I first bought a pump to test and then bought 8 more through my work place. The first one performed very well, prompting me to buy more. The rest keep breaking. The main problem is the friction between the rollers and the shaft. This pump has a shaft that drives the rollers directly. Because of this, the rollers constantly grind their surface and scatter fine black dust. As their surfaces become rougher they also damage the hose which is why I change them so often - my hose bursts at max 24-48h now. Also, I can't lubricate this pump at all due to the direct contact between the shaft and the rollers, and this could also be due to the black dust. After all, too worn rollers cannot work even at lower voltages, and the pump can only work on 12V. Again, I'm trying to be honest by reviewing the $10 pump. If you need it for a little work here and there, it should be fine. But for anything even remotely serious, this won't work. My problem is that out of the almost 10 pumps I have, only one or two are working properly and from what I've seen so far I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before they break down too.
