I bought these bandsaw blades for making balsa rods from 1/16" to 1/4" thick balsa wood. So far I'm getting pretty smooth and accurate cuts. Buying ready-made balsa rods from hobby and craft stores is very expensive, so I save a lot of money by sawing up balsa rods with my own hands. These band saws are very cheap, so they pay for themselves very quickly.
