Unfortunately this is not the product you have seen in other reviews. This is also not the point that is stated in the user manual. Instead of a nice magnetic rack with a drive case, you get that pesky little rubber stopper. You have to insert it and then bend it to the side and push the end of the drive in, so to speak. This is not the best design compared to what is advertised. I was not very happy to receive a product that is different from what I originally purchased. Additionally, the drive comes with two thermal pads, but the instructions don't mention what to do with them. You need to install them on the lid and there are marks where the corners go. The holes in the bezel don't line up perfectly, but the screw holes in the top layer at least do. The problem is that since there are no actual instructions on the pads, you have to play around with them until you figure out which one to use. If you get it wrong, you'll have to reinstall it, meaning if you ever need it in the future, the other one becomes unusable. I'm guessing the spacers MIGHT be for double sided discs, but I'm not entirely sure at this point and I've seen in video reviews that they only use one spacer. use it as it gets quite hot, but since you are connecting it via USB you lose the ability to see the temp gauge. This was a bit of a concern given the issues with the thermal pad, but that's just a limitation of the outer case and as far as I can tell it got the job done adequately. I've done fairly lengthy file transfers with no issues or speed drops. The source was only capable of delivering 215MB/s, but I got data from it at 800MB/s for about 10 minutes.
