We bought these for a game we call Canasta. You have many cards to hold in your hands. These holders make it easy to sort and group your cards. They're made of hard plastic that stands on its own, leaving both hands free. The cards hang slightly in the middle, but don't fall out when turned over. The more you put in the holder, the tighter it holds the cards. There is a piece of foam in the gap of the holder that holds the cards in place. They are not individually wrapped so they are a bit worn in transit as they are in a large package. No need to worry, traces of movement in the bag. This was a great purchase for us and we love having our hands free. You never know when your grandson will come to you and you can hug him as your hands are free. :-) We love the amount of cards it fits and the ease of adding and removing cards from the holder. Worth the money, will last a long time. JW
