PS: OSU mouse-only (7*+) player's opinion and experience with most modern top mice. This mouse is one of my favorites, because of the extremely low price I ordered several pieces "in reserve" and decided to write a review). Some pros: Design: 1) The material of the mouse / keys is a hard matte plastic, it wears off rather slowly. No complaints. 2) The design of the keys - the complete absence of backlash, which is now rare. A definite plus. There are significant backlashes on the lid under the palm at the very base of the mouse, but this does not affect anything from the word at all. The pressing force is slightly above average - even with a very large hand there will be no accidental pressing. 3) Despite the fact that the mouse is positioned as S (for a small palm), this is not entirely true. When gripping with a claw, this is something between M and L. Let me explain - my palm is 192mm, with the Viper Mini the performance practically does not suffer. Unlike real S-ok - M42 / Zoya S2 / G305 - it's simply unrealistic to play with my palm there. I don't know why, but it's true. Although they are almost identical in size. Switches: - Definitely a plus. Optical switches. Complete absence of degradation of operation of double / triple clicks, unlike ANY mechanical switches. At least I don't have a single mouse with fur. switches did not survive more than ~500 hours in osu without noticeable degradation of the switches. The same fur. omrons, which are supposedly designed for 20 million, change tactility and begin to noticeably blunt before reaching 0.5 million. There is no such problem here at all. After ~1000 hours of play, the switches are like new. In addition, the optics partially compensate for the higher latency due to the low DPI. Which in theory will give a low response time, despite the crappy sensor. Price. - And here is the most interesting. If we compare all the pros and cons, the objective price of this mouse is about 6000. But in reality, it costs 3 (!) times cheaper, which makes it the absolute leader in terms of price / quality. Cons: Design: 1) The location and geometry of the legs was chosen poorly, in my opinion, this is due to the initially incorrectly designed mouse base. When used on a hard surface, the absence of Teflon around the sensor does not interfere, the plastic remains on weight and does not touch the surface. However, when used on a soft carpet, problems begin. In theory, you can fix it by replacing the legs with thicker ones. Gluing Teflon around the sensor, as all bloggers advise, is definitely not worth it. It will only get worse, sure. IMHO, the ideal coating for better tracking of this mouse would be dense fiberglass / ceramics or matte metal, since modern optics allows you to abandon the woven coating. 2) The weight is one of the lowest on the market, on the one hand this is a plus. However, everything is not so simple here. And it's the sensor. It does not fully reveal the potential of the low weight of the mouse. Sensor: 1) Perhaps the main disadvantage of the mouse is that the separation height is too high. A soft carpet improves the situation a little, but even with it, when repositioning, the aim will go astray. (moreover, when using too soft carpet - other problems begin - see above) 2) In addition, the sensor has a low maximum acceleration, there is no 35g here at all. Accordingly, despite the low weight, unfortunately, the potential of this mouse remains untapped. 3) One more minus - the mouse cannot in high DPI. The optimal sensor frequency is no more than ~ 3200 DPI, I categorically do not recommend setting it above 3200, the sight will twitch and the sensor will break (the higher the DPI, the more often). For the smallest delays, we set 3200 DPI in the software and lower the sensitivity in the game to achieve effective DPI at ~ 400-800. In general, you should not chase after a large DPI, especially on cheap sensors, because a stall is MUCH worse than an extra ~ 1ms delay. I will say more, even on the best sensors, no one is safe from disruptions, it is always a matter of probability.
