First remove the item from the plastic bag, discard the bag and hand wash the item. Repeatedly with soapy water to remove excess paint. Can be applied wet in hot weather for an evaporative cooling effect. I've only been using mine for a few days but I really like it. I currently have several different brands of these. Mission, Buff, Artctic and a few general ones. This is my favorite, it fits well, holds up and offers protection from the elements. In addition, it breathes well and does not heat up. It can also be used as a mask if needed, just slide the bottom piece over your nose for dual layer protection. Would buy again and will probably order a few more. I wash my hands with dish soap after each use and it's ready to use. Highly recommended.
