Lachen sonic toothbrush surprised me very pleasantly! Having used the Philips brand for years, we thought we'd take a chance and go with a much cheaper option. We didn't want to step back and have a brush that needs to be plugged into a charger. We wanted inductive charging like Philips. Inductive charging allows the use of a sealed unit. It is more difficult to seal the connection in a pluggable version. Philips has two input modes, laughter has five. I'm not sure if I'll use any mode other than "clean" but they are available if needed. The shape of the case and the position of the on/off switch are better than the Philips when laughing. . At Philips I often accidentally hit the on/off button and stopped the brush. I didn't have that problem with laughter. The only minor flaw I found with Lachen is the 30 second timer which stops the brush vibrations immediately instead of just reducing them like the Philips. The stop, brief as it was, led me to believe the brush had stopped working. I've gotten into the habit of keeping the attachment in my mouth, it's a mess if it comes back on after a moment. Overall, my wife and I are very happy with Lachen. Good thing it comes with extra heads!
