Great product but crappy product manual

We bought this mainly for chocolate fondue. The first problem I have is that the instructions are very vague. There are no instructions on how to use it for chocolate. So I looked up the questions people were asking in the product information and added water to the stainless steel pan below. Not knowing how much water to add, I ended up adding too much and hot water started gushing out of the pot and all over my table! We quickly turned it off and drained most of the water. Once I figured that out, everything was great. He melted the chocolate and kept it warm. If the direction was better I would bet 5.
