We live in a community where not only do you have to deal with all sorts of rust and hard water, but also where solid particles constantly get into the pipes and I constantly have to dismantle water pipes around my faucets or to run showers. We bought a whole house water filter and it didn't seem to solve the problem. I didn't know what to do, but then I heard someone say that you can use a higher micron level filter. After some research I found that 1 micron was the highest level (at least for my filtration system) so we decided to give it a try. So far they've been great. We immediately noticed the difference. We expected less water pressure, but we actually got more water pressure because after cleaning our lines, the filter will retain solids in our lines and filter faster than a clogged line! we are so happy My husband was particularly pleased with the great shower pressure! I hope it stays that way! :)
