Like you, I found these battery holders to be excellent for the price. I couldn't find any documentation, even on the Diymore website (which still shows another option with a slider instead of a button). Maybe there are workarounds that I don't know about. In my implementation, the battery life is very short. I believe this is partly because the battery status LEDs are always on when the battery is on. In addition, other variations allow you to disable the auto-off feature. Maybe that works too, but I haven't figured out how. My secondary strategy for dealing with short battery life is to reduce the polling rate of my wemo and sensor. So far it looks like I'm limited to about four minutes of deep sleep. So that means about 1 milliamp isn't enough to survive between more intense uses (mine is around 70 milliamps). I'm not clear why my Wemo's 240 second deep sleep sometimes causes the battery to auto-turn off, but other times it doesn't. For my use, there are better documented products that don't cost too much and are more concerned with battery life.
