Updated 5/6/2019. During the investigation, the goods were described as ceramic goods. I don't remember mentioning that it's a Keravis non-stick coating. I have now read that the Keravis coating is similar to Teflon and has PTFE. While this works well I personally avoid Teflon coatings and am very disappointed as I thought the hob was ceramic and had no idea it had a coating like Keravis or Teflon. I downgraded my rating from 5 to 3 stars. I would rate it lower as personally I wouldn't cook with Teflon coated pans like PTFE coated pans but it works well and its lightweight and compact design is good. But I'm disappointed to learn that it has a Teflon coating. You can see from my first review that I genuinely believed they had a ceramic hob and not a teflon coating. a glass lid and a 5.75 liter pot with a non-vented glass lid that also fits a frying pan. My main cookware doesn't have non-stick coating and is very heavy, so I like to have some good non-stick items in the kitchen that are lighter. This set looks great and features unique folding handles that save space. These pans are free of PFOA, heavy metals and nickel and are made in Italy. I prefer European crockery as the standards tend to be quite strict. First they should be washed, dried and wiped down with high smoke point oil. Due to the excellent non-stick properties, no oil is generally needed when cooking. I've been using these Ballarini pans on my gas stove for a few weeks and they conduct heat well thanks to the aluminum body so only a lower temperature is required. These pans are lightweight and easy to handle without looking flimsy or cheap. The plastic handles snap easily into place and are comfortable. The pan's handle has always been cold when I've used it, but other pan's handles get hot. Non-stick ceramic easily releases food. I use the skillet to cook a variety of dishes such as: E.g. frying eggs, grilling cheese, searing and boiling meat, etc. The food browns and cooks evenly and I can brown meat well and prepare a juicy steak without turning the steering wheel. the flame is high. The three pan sizes are versatile and suitable for most needs, whether it's sautéing vegetables, making spaghetti sauce, etc. My experience with ceramic cookware is the avoidance of sharp tools, cooking at high heat, the use of cooking sprays, and the use of abrasive cleaners can quickly damage the surface. They can last a few years but even with proper care I haven't found them to have the durability of stainless steel and some specialty kitchen utensils. So I learned to be careful with them as I prefer ceramic over anodized non-stick aluminum. I can't say how these Ballarini pans compare to other ceramic pans and I'll let you know if I have any issues, but they come with a 5 year guarantee and I'd appreciate a 5 year -Get ceramic pan that becomes regular. use. I hand wash but these are dishwasher safe. I am very happy with the easy cleaning, attractive design, compact design and performance. Ballarini is an Italian brand from Zwilling. Love it. 5 Stars.
