I like that it's open source software so you can verify its integrity yourself before installing as far as possible. The interface isn't very user friendly for those who are new or not familiar with Linux at all. There may be better alternatives out there but this was what we had when my employer wanted me to install their computer system. My colleague used Fedora previously which made things much easier compared to Windows. This helped him get his work done using an OS he felt more comfortable working in than Windows.
