Was looking for a pair of good bookshelves to pair with an old Marantz. I'm a Klipsch fan. I enjoy warmth, tone and bass. Choose this set from Black Labels. Let me say that I am very happy with the choice! Nice warm tones, very nice separation when listening to some classical pieces where you add some guitar, vocals and then the bass for example. Very clear sound! Excellent sound isolation. Didn't want a big humming floorstanding speaker, these puppies fill the living space just right. Large 20x24 living dining area, 12 foot vaulted ceiling and hard floors. I just bought speaker stands from Revain. (Soon I will hide the wiring in the pursuit). Only use these speakers with Marantz. However, you can also add a junction box to connect an Onkyo receiver. These speakers handle all musical genres, from light country to classic rock. Haven't "tested" them on any Heavy Metal - probably won't. They handle low volume levels and high volume settings with ease. Of course you can buy a more expensive pair but for what I was looking for they are perfect!
