Well, they're handguards, and they're more comfortable than gripping AR-15 rails. However, the seizure was as bad as it could get while it lasted. I used a small hammer just to pound them slowly. I'm not sure what the splints were made for, but I've never seen one like this. They appear to be made of HDPE or Polypropylene, which is what milk jugs or cones are made of. Not a big problem, just makes them seem cheap. Also, the finger-pressing locking strut didn't even seem to work. Not that I have to worry because, you know, Hammer and all. but it seems odd that they were so tight and the tabs still didn't snap. 3 stars because it does what it's supposed to.
