Broke after 6 months

This scale has been working properly for about 6 months. It had long battery life and was easy to read. After about 6 months of use we noticed that it doesn't settle on the weight. Instead, the value will fluctuate by +/- 10 lbs until the screen times out and goes blank. Upon further investigation, we found that one of the legs was broken, so the scales were not level. We tried to fix the leg but we still have a problem. When you stand very still, the scale sometimes measures. This reading is highly dependent on foot placement, although there are no markings to indicate correct foot placement. My roommate, who has big feet, rarely reads. Even when we get readings, they don't seem to be accurate. In general, these scales are not designed for a long time and do not bring any money.
