I bought these hula hoops for my sports activities. I wanted my own hula hoop instead of the hula hoop that other people have been using specifically with Covid. Anyway, good quality hula hoop. It's steel and you can put in beans, ball bearings or whatever to make it heavier. I am very happy with the weight out of the box and have no plans to add weight. It comes to you in a box and the individual parts are tightly packed and do not move or knock. When you take them out of the plastic you need to connect them and when you do that make sure the tab key clicks into place and you hear a clicking sound. This will tell you it's locked in place. After that, just start the hula hoop. It's a little different than the plastic ones - a lot lighter in a way because it's easier to spin the hoop with a heavier hoop, but also different in that it's heavier so you feel it wrap more around your body turns, but you'll get used to something.
