Speakers work well for the money paid. While they're okay for the money spent ($329 for a pair), they're not quite what most professional reviewers claim. These Jamos do not compete with mid to high end brands like Klipsch, SVS, Bowers etc. My Klipsch RP-160M bookshelf outperforms these floorstanding speakers in every way for the same money. You are good in a small space, in a large space look elsewhere. Professional headphones look good, take up little space, work well in small spaces, low price, no speaker stands required, no subwoofer required for general listening in a small space. Cons: Better performance on some bookshelf speakers costing about the same, the tweeter (this can be remedied by turning off the treble on the amp) can be harsh at higher levels and this comes from those who really love horn speakers. They meet my needs in the small space I placed them in. Would I buy them again? Of course for what I use them for and the look I want. Can they compete with Klipsch and others? Only on the lowest entry options of other brands. In the Klipsch line, once you start listening to the reference premium line even the previous generation can't match, the Klipsch is by far the best speaker and it's easy to listen to. Finally, what's wrong with the Atmos connectors above? I think if you use them in a surround system and are too lazy to mount them on the ceiling they are ok but don't offer a chic modern industrial look. These are ugly dust collectors that I think will pick up dirt over time. I bought some black webcam vinyl discs for cheap and covered them up. There must be a better way. A lot more people use them as a standard tower or in a standard 5.1 setup. It would be far better to see towers with bi-amp capability than have those ugly metal holes on top of the speakers. For tower watchers, you can easily route speaker wire behind or along the tower with a variety of cable management methods. I just don't like that stupid atmosphere of connections upstairs where everyone sees them directly. As I said, covered in cheap black vinyl webcam stickers, not perfect yet, much better than it was.
