Review on Enhanced Replacement Batteries for Neato Robot Vacuums by Jeremy Carpenter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

New battery maker, 71 minutes!

EDIT: 1 year later, 4 minutes of work. These batteries work great for a while, but keep in mind that you will need to replace them about once a year. Original Review: Neato has finally settled the battery situation with a new supplier. I have changed my Neato batteries twice in the past in less than 1.5 years since owning the XV-21! Batteries typically last 100-150 charges (McNair stamp). Every time Neato returns to the charging station to charge, you slowly eat life. In my situation of cleaning 1-2 times a week (3 charges each), the batteries typically last 8 months (wish it was longer). I always time my new batteries with a stopwatch when I first get them to determine their 100% condition and monitor their declining performance. I used to get mostly 40-50 minutes when changing batteries on new batteries that slowly drain over the next few months. As soon as the battery life reaches <20 minutes, I replace the batteries. With these new batteries (dark green, new packaging appears to be a new manufacturer) I was surprised when the battery life reached 71 minutes on first use! I kept waiting for the battery to die but he kept brushing and brushing. I'm excited to see how long these batteries last and will update as soon as they need to be replaced. When changing the battery, please remember to reset the battery counter in Neato's New Battery settings menu. Otherwise, Neato will not fully discharge.
