I have several headphones including hesh 2 wireless headphones and some from the Sony xB range. To be honest I only compare them to other headphones in a similar price range like the Sony xb650bt and the hesh 2 wireless. Sound The sound on the grind is quite good. It's balanced and has more base than the Hesh 2. Overall I think they sound better than the ones I have in a similar price range. Hesh 2 is balanced but flatter and the xb650 favors the base more than the other tones. Bluetooth range and connectivity is about average. With bluetooth there is no flick when there is a quiet time like hesh 2. The range i would say is about 30 feet before it starts to drop out. Comfort / Fit It's quite comfortable on the ear, but after a few days of wearing I feel like they put more pressure on my ears. The ear pads are soft but not very thick. It was kind of the opposite feeling I had with other earbuds which were initially stiff and caused more ear pain but over time they fitted my ear size (hesh 2 and Sony). They have padding on the headband which is difficult to see in the product photo. I think some styles have different upholstery. My pair is the black version. Style They are pretty simple and fit my head well. Unlike Hash 2, which has a very wide seat and huge pots, the for factor here is much lower. I'm not afraid to wear them like hash in public. Sony is in the middle with big banks, but the band is right around the head. In general, I like the style of the grind best. Features/Accessories The wireless Grind comes with a micro USB charging cable and a 3.5mm audio cable (it doesn't have a microphone so you can only use the microphone in wireless mode). The control buttons are small and simple, but I would have preferred if they placed the power button at the bottom (like Hash 2) rather than in the middle of the volume buttons. I accidentally hit the power button a few times instead of turning up the volume. It doesn't turn off without a long press, so no problem, it's just a little annoying until you get used to the layout. A nice improvement over the hesh 2 wireless is that the power button light is much smaller and there's no annoying blinking. It still flashes when in use, but the light is a lot smaller and when placed it's a lot less noticeable or distracting. Durability. The strap is aluminum so should hold up much better than the wireless Hesh 2. The weight is also much lighter so dropping it shouldn't be as much of an issue. There is no carrying case included (or even the thin case that came with the hesh 2, at least it was handy to stash the cables in). They can be thrown in a bag as long as you don't put heavier things on top. Battery life is claimed to be 12 hours and that seems accurate. They last longer if you play at a lower volume. All in all, these are solid headphones. They have a very good sound, decent comfort and good build quality. For headphones under $100, they price very well with their competitors. ----------------UPDATE 8/17--------------- - --After several months of use, the headset became quite uncomfortable. That's a bit ironic, because with hash 2 the opposite happened, which became more convenient as it was used. The ear pads on it are flimsy and quickly lose comfort. Also another very annoying problem, the headband wasn't small enough. I don't think I have such a small head, but even on the lowest settings I found them slipping off my head if I wasn't careful to keep my head still. Shame because I really liked the sound and look of these. I'm sure for the right person they will be perfect, but maybe not if you have a small head.
