I love this toaster! After looking for a quality toaster both in stores and online for more than 5 years and being constantly frustrated by how sturdy and cheap most of them were, even 3 times the price of this Toshiba, I noticed this. one on Revain and desperately decided to take a chance as it already had a lot of good reviews. I have not regretted this impulse for a moment and I really enjoyed using this toaster. It looks great on my counter, is more reliable than any toaster I've seen in stores in many years, and works great. ! Having already had a built in Wolf convection wall oven and a built in Wolf convection microwave I didn't care if the toaster had a convection feature or not but now I'm glad it has it because I use it. show a lot more than I ever imagined. As with most toasters, the exterior of this toaster gets hot, but not as intimidating. I bought a 9" x 12" black silicone mat from Revain to lay on top of to dissipate some of the heat going up into the upper cabinets, but mainly so I can put a few extra toaster ovens on top if the oven comes on. been in use - when not in use I store clean stacked baking sheets in the toaster. It really isn't much, but the display stays clear enough to see even then, it also becomes clear again when the oven cools down, and hasn't had a negative impact on oven performance in the 2 years I've been using it . mine used. This Toshiba is actually superior to the former large toaster which took me years to find a replacement as its construction, particularly its solid base, is far superior to the old one I had for over 20 years. This one was also a quality toaster and still performed like a champ, but it had a design flaw: one of its legs broke, and I was insanely sick of reattaching it every few seconds. Months or so but I couldn't find a new one on the market that was even remotely as good as my old one until I found this Toshiba! This Toshiba has indeed exceeded my expectations in every way and I was impressed from the moment I took it out of the box because its quality and design not only exceeded my beloved old toaster. as good, but also the design and quality of many, many others that I've reviewed at all sorts of stores over the years. Expecting that I would probably have to come to terms with the fact that I would have to settle for a toaster that is slightly inferior to the one I have enjoyed for many years, so I opened the box and found this Toshiba better than anyone far superior to others I've seen was an almost transcendental experience. If you've tried replacing a quality small kitchen appliance over the past decade, you'll probably know what I mean. Too often you have to be satisfied with cheaper devices that no longer work or don't work at all after a few months! I will keep the Toshiba brand in mind for future purchases as I am very happy with this toaster!
