We just got a new sofa and we have hardwood floors. Our old sofa was very deep/wide so we could put our front feet on the carpet in our living room. But the new sofa is much smaller and had to rest on the wooden floor - every time we sat down it slipped and every time we got up it slipped even more! We're tired of moving it around and risking scratching the hardwood. We received these grips and they worked great! We hoped that even if they didn't hold the sofa in place (on hardwood it's hard to tell what will and won't stick), at least we wouldn't have to worry about scratching hardwood anymore. . But to our surprise and delight, the couch has stayed in place since we put it on its legs! It doesn't move even if we try to move it - we have to lift the legs a bit to make the sofa move, which is exactly what we wanted - a sofa that stays in place! A highly recommended product!
