I would recommend children 10 and over are best at handling this car. But it's a good deal for the money and the car is already charged when it arrives, which is a plus. It is very durable. Ours has been run at top speed in mulch, sidewalks, roads, and dry grass. I wouldn't recommend driving in wet or damp grass or tall grass because it will be in the wheels and prevent it from rolling. Hard to clean out. The top is light weight and removes easily to charge and to clean. We have had a lot of remote control vehicles with our children and have been frustrated with the poor quality of most. And we didn't want to spend a couple hundred on one just for the yard.so this fit our needs perfectly.Less than a year later.UPDATE. I purchased this car in July 2017. The rechargeable battery only lasted 8 months and this is will not frequent use. Disappointed we are having to replace the rechargeable battery (that costs $16 and up) in less than one year.
