I first used this to connect 4 wireless controllers for use with video game emulators on my PC. It worked great. It's now a really handy centerpiece on my desk. The red charging port actually powers another USB hub, which I plugged the controller buttons into instead. MIDI controller. This is very convenient as unplugging my headset dongle immediately switches my computer's playback device to my speakers instead of having to change the setting. The same applies to the USB microphone. The ability to disable your webcam is a good thing, as there are rumors that people can monitor your webcam if it's plugged in at all. Being able to turn off the MIDI controller is a good thing because it has a bunch of really bright LEDs that I can't turn off while it's plugged in. It's so convenient that I don't have to keep unplugging pesky USB devices.
