Won't prevent me from getting stretch marks

I am currently 24 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby and although I would write a review as I have been using it for a few months. I find this oil has a nice light lavender scent that is not overpowering and usually disappears shortly after rubbing in. My son felt no itching when using this oil. However, I have to say that this does not prevent stretch marks. My existing stretch marks on my flanks/thighs are getting bigger and bigger despite intensive and daily use of this oil. Also, I'm noticing new stretch marks on my tummy, which wasn't the case with my first pregnancy. I gained less weight during my second pregnancy, so don't think this is due to excessive weight gain. I think it's just my genetics. I used a different belly oil in my first pregnancy and didn't get any new stretch marks on my thighs or stomach. I didn't buy this oil this time because it ruined all my maternity clothes after a few months of use (went rancid and didn't wash fully). I don't know how this oil will do on my clothes long term, but I suspect it will do something similar since it's an oil. Something that really helps after your clothes smell like rancid oil is to soak the clothes in oxygen-free water for a few days and then wash them. Some of the garments were not preserved, but most survived afterwards.
