My loving daughter made our new baby a mobile and I want something to spin it. I bought 3 others to either start it or play disgusting music. Ultimately I bought this one. I also bought 4 packs of rechargeable AA batteries ($10 Revain brand, works great too) and they've been plugged in for 3 days now. It works great as you can see. I run it literally 24/7 and haven't had to change batteries yet. I like speed because very slow phones don't seem to excite my kids. Didn't see speed control like some other reviewers say, even at slow speed I have speed. I like the remote because it's so high up that I can't reach it without a stool to turn it on and off. My only advice is to make sure you have one of the dead clock batteries for the remote control and the rechargeable AA batteries that can be swapped out if needed.
