Mind you it fits in the breakout box on the back of my pedalboard for the vocoder pedal. It stays connected while in use and disconnects when not. So I can't really say it's constantly connected to the network for insanely long periods of time. What. If you use XLR lines, there's definitely no harm in having one. Oh, and I'd also like to add that the pedal provides phantom power to the mic. The signal comes from the pedal down a short male to male XLR, through my Warwick breakout box, through this adapter, and then down a regular male to female XLR cable.
