I have upgraded to this device from Prophet Sports Plus. Huge difference. Load times weren't as fast as I expected, but to be honest that's what a lot of people have told me. I have 5 Dynamite 11.1v 5000mah batteries and using the Prophet Sport Plus it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to fully charge. This Venom takes 50 to 55 minutes on a setting of 7 amps, a 11.1v lipo charge. Almost everyone said it will charge them from 25 to 30 minutes. Not even close. However, it charges batteries MUCH more efficiently. With my X-MAXX, the cells were better balanced and the runtime was longer. Maybe it's a coincidence, but after tinkering with my ESC truck for 25 minutes, the motor and batteries got colder too. The motor was about 120 degrees versus 142 degrees (what he uses to get it). I like that I can charge 4 batteries at the same time, fast charge, equalize charge, discharge and storage mode. If I decide to upgrade the 8S to X-MAXX, this charger can also handle larger batteries. I love this thing, I just wish it would charge my batteries as fast as many have promised and told me it will.
