I've been using this since May but when I plugged in the power supply there was always sparking and hissing no matter what outlet. It loaded quickly. One day I noticed that it was very hot and I started to worry that the electricity might catch fire. I was reading about power adapters and decided to buy a 20w unit from the iPhone manufacturer. The same cable, but without hiss.
