Review on 3m Multimode Duplex 62.5/125 Fiber Optic LSZH OM1 Cable - LC to ST Cat6 Patch Cable by StarTech.com (FIBLCST3) by Katrina Coniglio

This is a 15 meter connection cable. It worked for me, no problem. Used with 2 Cisco switches with Cisco optics. Used to connect my main 3750 switch to an 8 port 2940 "baby" switch across the room at another desk. Fiberglass is used for several reasons.1. Potential separation, since the "child" switch is not on the UPS but on a mediocre mains filter.2. Purchase fiber optic material to use an SFP port for GigaFirst uplink. It was plug and play. Updated my optics to DOM optics and saw the following power levels (which strike me as good, note if this rating appears in other lengths, this is for the 15m version) 3750 end: TX power = -4, 5dBmRX power = -4.8dBm2940 end could not show DOM but expected similar readings. I've had this setup for a few months now with no problems that I can attribute to this fiber. The only problems I encountered were the result of my boldly repeating the command.
