Review on OXO BREW Conical Burr Coffee Grinder: Precision Grinding with Built-in Scale by Martha Robinson

I've had two of these grinders. I loved the first. It was attractive, easy to use, and had many grind options. When he died a few years later, I replaced him without hesitation. Unfortunately, I am extremely disappointed with my second model. As many others have pointed out, coffee grounds splatter everywhere. This means the machine and counter must be wiped down after each use. Also, due to the high levels of static electricity, a fair amount of coffee remains in the container. Since nothing has changed in my house between the first and second models, I can only assume that OXO has changed something in production. I contacted the company and their only suggestion was to wipe down the machine before each use. This is totally impractical. Do yourself a favor and buy a grinder with a receiver that sits flush with the chute. You save a lot of time.
