Very happy with this lamp. Installation wasn't too difficult, but you will need another person to hold the light while you connect the wires. I was a bit surprised by the weight of the counterweight, it's quite heavy. The mounting plate felt a little light but I followed the instructions and used the plastic anchors provided to secure the mounting plate to the ceiling along with the screws provided in the junction box. I was worried that the mounting plate wouldn't be able to hold the mount, but once I attached it it seemed to hold up fine. I wanted to drill a few extra holes in the panel and put a few extra anchors in the ceiling, but I didn't. I bought 60w edison led dimmable bulbs from walmart and they look great! The lamps provide a nice warm light for the dining table and are bright enough to illuminate the area around the dining table. The lamp is connected to a dimmer switch. Adjusting the height of the light is very easy and if you need to make sure it's level you can simply adjust the position of the counterweight on the cables. Very happy with how the light looks with our table and love that it can be raised or lowered!
