This is a good inverter I think for the money but the problem with this thing is the fans won't turn off for a long time if you just Using 500W, the fans will turn on and after you stop using the device, the fans will keep running for about 8 minutes. All other inverters I've had don't turn on like that right away and don't keep running for long say for example you make a cup of coffee the fans turn on and don't turn off until 8 or 9 minutes, very annoying, it's well built and a great price, but if you can get used to the fans it will work for you. My other inverters don't work like this. You should be getting a thousand watts then the fans come on but they shut down immediately, this one just keeps running for quite a while. Be sure to read all customer reviews. It really helps with the purchase, I was wondering why it's such an affordable price, maybe that's the reason
